Clover Park Grad Wyatt Fisher Part Of Select Student Leadership Program

He is one of four Puget Sound students chosen for Bank of America's eight-week program. He will spend the summer at FISH Food Banks.

Wyatt Fisher, recent graduate of Clover Park High School recently embarked on the summer internship of a lifetime, as one of four Puget Sound students awarded paid, eight-week internships through Bank of America’s Student Leaders program.

Wyatt will spend his summer at FISH Food Banks where he will learn from its senior staff and continue to demonstrate his passion for helping others through community service.

"In a town where the economic divides are stark, where mobile homes are found a block away from mansions, and where many kids question how they will get their next meal, let alone pay for college, there is an inescapable feeling that something should and could be done, but is not," he writes.

"The problem is the poverty cycle, and those who have the power to break it are failing to do so effectively," he adds. "My community needs an advocate, and I intend to be that advocate."

In addition to working toward this goal during his time at FISH Food Banks, Wyatt will travel to Washington D.C., to take part in a national Student Leadership Summit this July. There, he and hundreds of other Student Leaders from across the U.S. will further develop their leadership skills, network with other students from around the country and participate in a service project.
