Clover Park School District Selects Korsmo Construction For Clarkmoor, Greenwood Projects

The construction contract for the two Joint Base Lewis-McChord schools is worth approximately $48 million.

Tacoma-based Korsmo Construction has been selected by the Clover Park School District to build two new elementary schools on the grounds of Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The GC/CM construction contract value is approximately $48 million.

The schools – Clarkmoor and Greenwood – will total more than 146,000 square feet and will house 1100 students in grades K-5.

Greg Primm, VP / Project Director for Korsmo Construction says preconstruction work is under way for both schools. Construction is expected to take 12 months with the buildings completed in time for the 2014-15 school year.
Integrus Architecture and OAC will provide design and project management services.

Korsmo Construction, based in Tacoma, is a general building contracting company that has served the Pacific Northwest since 1948. Recently completed projects include the Tioga Library Building on the University of Washington Tacoma campus, the Children’s Museum of Tacoma, and the LOTT Clean Water Alliance WET Center in Olympia.
