Debra Hay Recommended For Steilacoom High Principal

The district's Board of Directors will consider the recommendation Thursday. Hay is currently assistant principal at Graham Kapowsin High School.

Steilacoom Historical School District #1 Superintendent Kathi Weight will recommend to the Board of Directors the hiring of Debra Hay for the position of Principal of Steilacoom High School.

The Board will consider the recommendation at its regulary scheduled board meeting on Thursday, July 25, 2013. Hay is currently serving as the Assistant Principal of Graham Kapowsin High School in the Bethel School District, where she has held the position since 2010. She previously served an assistant principal at Bethel High School and a dean of students at Washington High School. Debra is a former special education teacher at the high school level. She received both her Bachelors in Education and Masters in Education School Administration from Pacific Lutheran University.
