Girls Basketball: Lakes Blows Through Kennedy, 63-28

Lakes seniors Brianna Butler and Anitaka Knight scored a team-high 10 points and its defense held Kennedy to less than 10 points in three out of four quarters in a 63-28 blowout playoff victory at Clover Park High School Saturday afternoon.

The Lancers (18-4) will play Camas at 2 p.m. on Monday at Clover Park for the No. 4 seed to the regional elimination matchup against Franklin on Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. at Bellevue Community College. If they lose to the Papermakers, they will earn the No. 6 seed and play Kamiakin at 6 p.m. Feb. 25 in Richland.

A win against Franklin or Kamiakin will earn the Lancers to the Class 3A state tournament held at the Tacoma Dome. A loss to either teams will conclude the Lancers' season.
