Just got this report from the Lakes Lancers group:

Here's some apparent big news for Lakes Lancers football fans to get excited about over the summer.

The Lakes Lancers group tells Patch that the school has found its quarterback: Rhys Gervais.

It appears that Lakes has found a QB ... Rhys Gervais, 6'-3", 195lbs, Sr.

Last year, Rhys played at Puyallup; he's a legacy (Scott Gervais is Lakes' QB coach and Dalton Gervais was Lakes' QB)

All of a sudden, I'm think the possibilities to go 9-0 into the playoffs is highly probable for Lakes football.

Gervais is considered one of the top football players in the state heading into the 2013 season, according to Northwest Prep Report.

Rhys is a solid prospect. Β A smart kid who is on the rise and a coaches kid. Gervais is a great name to have in football around Washington! Β We like his chances.

Looks like it could be fun season in Lakewood this fall. Patch will more on this story as information becomes available.
