Lakes Boys Basketball Preview: Lancers face top-ranked O'Dea

Heated quarterfinal round could be a precursor to a state championship team.

Lakes (21-3) – The Lancers opened the state tourney with a blasting of and followed it up by holding on a for a 73-67 win over Decatur last weekend. Lakes has won three straight since a playoff loss to Lincoln two weeks ago, led by Nate Guy and Isaac Winston, who are averaging a combined 36 ppg over their last three.

O’Dea (23-3) – O’Dea followed up what was a bit of a surprising loss to Bellevue two weeks ago with two double-digit wins over Lincoln and Chief Sealth. Sekou Wiggs leads the Irish in scoring on the season at 19.5 ppg, but it’s been Dustin Watts over the past few weeks leading O’Dea. Watts scored 28 points in a
three-point win over Lincoln in the opening round. Watts is averaging 18.3 ppg over his last six.
