McChord Field Salmon Run Set for June 15

It’s time to lace up your running shoes—the first-ever McChord Field Salmon Run is set for Saturday, June 15.

The event, organized by JBLM Family and MWR, will take place at Joint Base Lewis-McChord's McChord Field, and participants can enter either the 12 K or 5K race. There’s even a quarter-mile race for Kids’ Chum Run. 

Pre-registration is $15 for active duty service members and $25 for civilians. There’s a $5 late fee for anyone who signs up on the day of the race. 

Pre-ordered Salmon Bake fees are $10 for adults and $6 for kids. The meals cost $2 more on the day of the race.

Registration to receive a T-shirt and pre-ordered meal must be completed before Tuesday, June 4, at noon. All online registration ends at noon on Thursday, June 13.

The event also includes door prizes and live music. Kids who participate in the quarter-mile race will also get a medal and gift bag to take home. 

Registration is available online or bring your check and registration forms to DFMWR-Sports Office at Soldier's Field House at 3236, 2nd Division Drive & Handrich 2nd floor.
