REPORT: Lakes Boys Basketball Coach Rodriguez Resigns After 6 Seasons
He led the Lancers to the 2011 3A state championship.
The News Tribune is reporting Lakes High School boys basketball coach JoJo Rodriguez has resigned after six seasons with the team.
Rodriguez was not available for comment.
Rodriguez took the reins during the 2006-07 season, and at that point, Lakes had only advanced to the state tournament three times. Under his tutelage, the Lancers went to state in each of his first five seasons, including the finals in 2008, and won the 3A state championship in 2011.

He played on the 1974 Garfield High School team that went unbeaten and is considered one of the best in state history, and took his alma mater to the tournament four times in the 1990s.
According to The News Tribune, the district expects to post the opening in the next week or so, and also has an opening for for a girls basketball coach at Clover Park High School.
