Hot Teriyaki is a cheerful little restaurant tucked into the Oakbrook Plaza on Steilacoom Boulevard, and it's a favorite lunch spot for Lakewood Police officers. It serves traditional Japanese and Chinese-American fare, including teriyaki, bento, yakisoba and chow mein.

Many of the dishes are spicy (they're marked with a pepper on the menu.) Chinese fare is wok cooked, and includes traditional favorites such as Kung Pao chicken, Szechwan beef and General Tao's chicken. The menu also offers combination Japanese-Chinese pairings, such as Teriyaki chicken and Mongolian beef. The Family Special will feed four people for about $27, and like all menu items, is available for take-out.
