I give kudos to these people of the WTB who give of their time as volunteers for Habitat forRead More Humanity. I'm just now reading this and am sorry I'm not available today to drop by up the street to bring some kind of refreshment to them in gratitude for ALL they seem to keep giving! We have so many awesome soldiers from Ft. Lewis! I hope someone will give a honk as they drive by this house today! Oops! That could probably get too noisy...so at least wave wildly out the window at them today!!

One note: This offer is for new registrations only as we are needing to boost our turnout. TheRead More economy has made it difficult for folks to afford a nice evening out. We hope to help out with this process. Also, we ask those who attend to consider bringing a non-perishable food item so that we can also assist the ever growing need at our local Food Bank. SugarBabies, listed above as a merchant participant, has opted not to participate this year, but there are still some incredible wines to be tasted and merchants to visit. We have excellent white, red and even unique wines for your tasting pleasure. Heritage Bank is leading up the registration table (which opens at 3 pm) and is providing a great deal of assistance to ensure you have a great time. Come....Spend some time in Sumner!

Diane is the amazing Angel of Hope in the Clover park School district. Not a week goes by at ourRead More school(Southgate Elementary) that she is not delivering supplies or food or clothing or shoes to our students. What an amazing blessing to the needy children in Lakewood!

For those interested in volunteering or making donations of clothes, food or (most importantly) cashRead More can contact Diane Formoso at carekids@comcast.net or send checks to 237 Eldorado Avenue, Fircrest WA 98466. CFK's annual Stuff the Bus will be held in November, so think about picking up an extra toy or package of socks as you're hitting up sales between now and then. It's amazing what the little things can do!

Also, I'd like to add that on a personal note, I first met Diane when I was in sixth grade at DowerRead More Elementary School (go Dragons!) and a friend and I collected coats for Caring For Kids as a community service project. She totally remembered me when I came to interview her for the first time in November 2009, and it is truly an honor to get to write about and help with such a remarkable organization.

Please come out and join other community members! It's a great family enrichment activity whileRead More helping your community. It will be a great time! As a parent I am not only donating my time, but a case of water and some snacks. If you can't donate your time, gifts of lawn equipment, mulch, mildew stain remover, or just gift cards to the local hardware store would be a great way to help. Please come out, we would love to see your dolphin face!
