Community Corner

Networking in Lakewood

Join us each and every Tuesday, from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the Lakewood Family YMCA, located at 9715 Lakewood Dr. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499 for Networking in Lakewood, where we connect as business owners and as friends. Because that’s what networking is about: getting to know each other.

This is a place for fellow business owners to support each other and develop a strong, community-based referral network. This is NOT a place to sell to each other.

So who do we hope to see in this room each week?

Anyone. If you are looking to build your business through QUALITY REFERRALS, we are happy to have you. The best part is, the bigger the group, the more we stand to learn from each other about how to advance our individual business models and practices.

Why is it crucial to cultivate an active network of business contacts?

Because any relationship, whether in this room or out in the community, has the potential to grow your business.

Here, we invite of you to present a 30 second commercial, detailing your business and what kind of referral you are looking for.

Note – When the timer goes off, you’re done- please sit down! Don’t worry; there will be time later for you to speak during announcements if you have left out any crucial information.

We distribute business cards and any other materials, feature one to two speakers for longer presentations, and leave time for testimonials and “shout-outs.” Finally, at the end of the meeting, we encourage you to schedule one-on-one meetings with each other.

Ultimately, this is a place for business owners to dialogue with and support each other.

We recognize the YMCA’s generosity in letting us use this room by collecting a suggested donations of $5 per meeting. This money supports the YMCA’s “Strong Kids Campaign.” Our goal is to raise $10,000. Would please consider helping us meet this goal?

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
